Get your belt

My little one has become a compulsive belt wearer (if that is a word). She loves to put on belts...belts around her arms, legs, chest, etc. She likes to wear them properly as well, but it can be a hassle when it come to potty time. Toddlers tend to be very independent when it comes to dressing themselves and doing things by their self.
With Roxy's current belt fetish, I have been on the look out for cute, easy to fasten belts. I was searching on-line when I came across Myself Belts. They have a slew of boys, girls, teens and even adult belts that can be fastened using just one hand. Click over to http://myselfbelts.com/index.cfm and you will find a variety of patterns and prints and even personalized belts. Myself Belts has been featured in some of the top selling parent friendly magazines and is being sold in select retail stores such as Nordstrom and Stride Rite.

Visit their site for a full list of details concerning styles, pricing, ordering info. and available retail locations.

Goodbye summer

As the weather turns rainy with that humid dampness and the days become shorter it is a true reminder that summer is coming to an end. So, as I hang on to those last few reminders of the warm air, bright sunshine and outside beauty, here are a few pictures of what I have to show for summer. I have posted pictures of flowers and flowering bushes/trees from my yard. I love to plant flowers and admire their beauty. So, goodbye summer....hello fall.

Back to school

Like most of you, we began the back to school routine this week. Roxy's had her first day of 3 year pre-k today. Her teachers are wonderful and the school staff is simply amazing. I get that "good" feeling every time I drop her off, knowing that she is in good hands. I have posted a picture of little Roxanne as she was entering into her school today. I walked her to class, helped her hang up her bag, retrieved some crayons and marker out of her supply box and she settled in nicely. I watched her eyes take in her new surroundings...new faces, familiar faces, classroom activity and all the other first day events. She was totally calm and ready to take on her new adventure. As I kissed her goodbye, she reminded me that it was OK for me to go. So, without being pushed out, I bowed out of the classroom with a whisper of prayer for her to have a wonderful and blessed day. My little Roxy is growing up and I am thankful for every moment that I am able to be a part of.

The winner is.....

Thank you to everyone who left a comment about the shake, rattle and roll giveaway. It means so much to know that people are reading my post. My blog is here to help others with everyday life, giving them a little something to smile about!

With the help of little Roxanne, we decided that Elizabeth should be the contest winner. After all, that's Roxy's middle name, hence the name of the blog "Eliza...".

Here is what Elizabeth had to say... For my first child, I bought something like this with a little panda face on it but it is not nearly as cute as yours. These are darling!

Thank you Elizabeth for your kind words and for participating in my first giveaway. Please email me your address so that I can mail you the wrist rattle. For those of you who may be interested in this item, they are available and can be customized in other fabric patterns. You can email me if you would like to place an order.

I am looking forward to another giveaway soon. My goal is to have one once a month...Spread the word!
